My fear is not going to hold me back or stop me trying, this isn’t scary at all! Oh my goodness me! I cannot believe this day has arrived. I’m being so brave, my stomach is doing back flips, my heart is pounding and my thoughts are racing (nothing new there lol).
I never believed I would feel able to take the plunge and write about me, but here I am ….. doing it….. right here…. right now! Yey for me!
I am 56 years of age, no…. wait a minute….. I am 57 years of age and have difficulty remembering how old I am. Mainly because its just a number and I choose not to live my life focusing on too many negatives where possible, my age being one of them.
I see ageing as somewhat of a negative simply because I am innately aware that statistically I have lived more life than I have left on this beautiful planet and I haven’t started to live MY life yet! I have been busy helping everyone else live theirs and im scared I dont have enough time left to fit everything in that I hope and dream to achieve!
I have a beautiful family and a handful of close and wonderful friends. I have three gorgeous black Labradors, Marley, Buster and Poppy.
Marley and Poppy are husband and wife and then there is ‘Uncle Buster’, Poppy’s brother. They are adorable, fun and demanding … just like our three adult children ha ha.
I have four amazing grandchildren that I love with all my heart and enjoy nothing more than ‘hanging out’ with them. Their excitement and energy is endless!

My previous career as a social worker in the mental health field was both rewarding and challenging. I chose to leave this to support my fiancée in managing our online business which has been a blessing and a freedom in life!
Without this happening I would not have been able to spend the past two and a half years of my life living on a Narrow boat with my fiancée of 24 years….yes, you heard correct….. 24 years. The Longest engagement …..ever…. Mainly because we cant agree where to get married.
….but that’s a story for another day.
One thing that you will soon quickly realise is that my love of music is one of the biggest passions in my life and whilst writing this I have chosen a few songs that sprang to mind, some linked to fond memories, that you may enjoy listening to.
